Drawing Han Solo

Star Wars.com Star Wars: Kids
As a smirking smuggler, handsome rogue and pilot to the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy -- the Millennium Falcon -- Han Solo had his share of close-call encounters with his trusted Wookiee sidekick Chewbacca. But it wasn't until he was hired to transport Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO from Tatooine to Alderaan in A New Hope that his real adventure began.

Damn fine set on SW Kids. I especially like the final illustration - great tones. I really like the concept of teaching skills and it seems like SW kids does just that. Have you any idea what kind of traffic that SW url attracts? I ask only because I am trying to get my head to work out how popular that resource is to SW.com.
I did see the logo (actually I kept a copy from the old Allied web site, because I thought it was so cool). Your comments on Amos' message are much appreciated. Considering your standing in the community, I feel they come from a very high place indeed.
many thanks!
thanks Mark.. I love doing these How to's. As far as the traffic.. I have no idea how much it gets.. I know whne mine are up ai plaster them all over the place..LOL.
Thank you for the compliment. Oh my standing is nowhere compaired to yours. I am not that high....YET!
I cannot say nothing except that I aspire to get to such expertise. Great line work.
here comes the question
Right now at my state of drawing skills, I draw lines over and over, does that pass, did you ever do it or still does? am asking this becuase your lines look so clean (as if you have achieved proportion and perspective within the first line)
and here comes the request
that if you have time
Mr. Raats
Could you draw a step by step drawing for Hyperspace one time?
thanks
Amos
I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment Amos, so I will have to look at it some time in the future - unfortunately.
The 'sketchbook" idea I floated with the Lucas people seems to have been warmly accepted and at the moment we are looking at perhaps a combination of sketches (which I will do) and photography. The idea is still in concept, but it does have the buy-in of the right people. I will keep you posted...
SW Insider is also going to feature some of my scribbles - I believe.
You lucky B*****d! Ah Mark see you are much higher than I..*sigh and drifts into daydream.
ha ha ha.. as you know well Cat, nothing is set in stone until the deal is done. It might all still simply float away ....!!
